Inquiring minds want to know: Why is Walmart so much more crowded than Target?
The prices are pretty much the same, and when different, it's by like 5 percent, and often it's cheaper at Target. Walmart clothes are cheaper than Target, but Target clothes are better, and Target clearance items are cheaper than Walmart clearance. I get the majority of my summer dresses from Target clearance rack because it's always under $10. Sometimes I get better deals at Winner's (Canada's TJ Max) so it's my second place for dresses. Walmart is just a disgusting place to shop in. The Walmart I live near is always crowded with disgusting people and students (it's a 20 minute walk from the college) and everything is broken. The floors are dirty. Displays are broken. The aisles are crowded with garbage. The Target, a 10 minute walk up the street from the Wal-Mart, is rarely busy. But it has wide aisles to shop in. It's much cleaner. The displays are nicer. The people in it are nicer. The prices are either the same as Walmart, cheaper than Walmart, of just 5 percent more than Wal-Mart (but if you get the Red Card you get 5 percent off anyway) The only thing Wal-Mart has that Target doesn't have is the fresh food section. And the Wal-Mart I live near is five minute walk from a Food Basics which sells fresh food cheaper anyway.
