AFL-CIO’s John Ryan Gearing Up

John Ryan, Executive Secretary of the Cleveland AFL-CIO, posted this at
You are right, it is not over. It's not about one Wal-Mart superstore. It is nothing personal to the developer or even the Mayor. It's about fighting to keep middle class jobs in a great but most impovished city in the nation. Anyone who knows me knows that I don't ever give up on that fight. Look at our past fights on organizing workers (Juvenile Court battle was six years until we had victory), saving the steelmill was countless rallies with the USWA and politicians (lead by Congressman Kucinich and Congresswoman Tubbs Jones but including then Commissioner Campbell), the Community Hiring Hall has been over three years in the making, etc. The fight on Wal-Mart Superstores just began. Many, including bloggers, small business people and the faith community, just got started.
Thanks, John. And don't forget....grassroots, baby.

hi John, I have a great deal of respect for you and your union. I hope that you do not endorse Jane Campbell. Campbell is a complusive liar and someone who has demonstrated that she can never be trusted. I hope you endorse anyone but fake Jane.
