Hate radio is bad for business
A new group called Hate Hurts America has started a campaign to get advertisers to drop their support of radio host Michael Savage.
They seem to be having some success (PR Newswire):
The newly-formed Hate Hurts America Community and Interfaith Coalition (HHA) today announced that Wal-Mart and AT&T have joined a growing list of advertisers that have stopped advertising or refuse to place their ads on Michael Savage’s “Savage Nation” program. [My emphasis]
See, Walmart – one can be a good citizen and still make money. Try it again, you may get to like the idea.
It’s amazing! Look how a group of people can make a change without resorting to trying to get the government to intervene. I wish more groups would follow this lead.
