After testifying in court that she was innocent of all charges Heather Ellis and her lawyers watched the jury file out and decided to not throw the dice. This is probably good for Ellis but it is bad for the justice system. We will never know what transpired.

From CNN:

Under the agreement — reached after the jury received the case for deliberations — Heather Ellis will plead guilty to disturbing the peace and resisting arrest. She will serve a year of unsupervised probation, attend an anger management course and serve four days in jail before the end of the year.

And, oh, chalk up a win in the Walmart column.
